Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and uncertainty regarding impact, Usability Sciences is taking pro-active measures to ensure your research goals are not disrupted. I want you to know we are closely monitoring the situation and adjusting as needed. Your health and the health of our researchers and participants are our priority.
To date, our research activities have not been interrupted. Usability Sciences has been able to recruit participants and operate as usual. That said, we are prepared to switch to moderated online sessions instead of in-person, if necessary.
We wanted to make you aware of the following:
We are here to discuss your research requirements and provide solutions to answer your questions despite the ongoing situation. Alternatives are available.
We have modified screening criteria to ensure research participants, for in-person research, are not arriving
- with Flu-like symptoms
- having recently traveled to areas of concern
- having had close contact with any person who is currently infected or has traveled to an area of concern
We have updated procedures for sanitizing our facility
- Sanitize common areas periodically throughout the day, including doors, handles, and countertops
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizers in every room and at in the reception area
- Participants are asked to use the hand sanitizer prior to starting the session
- Keyboard, mouse, and devices are sanitized after each research session
- Tables and chairs are sanitized in between sessions
- Minimize physical interaction with research participants
Remote online testing has been a staple of our portfolio for many years, across desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms. Utilizing these capabilities, we are well-positioned to support your research needs during this period of uncertainty.
It has always been our practice to broadcast sessions at no charge, so you and your team do not need to travel to observe and collaborate in the research sessions.
Despite the Covid-19 situation, we at Usability Sciences are positioned well to continue conducting research. While the format and modality of research sessions may change to accommodate the situation, the insights will remain the same - actionable. Your research needs should not be something to worry about during this situation, and Usability Sciences is here to make sure of that.
