Surviving & Thriving: Building a UX Research Practice in Corporate America

Li Wen Huang has 15 years experience in user experience research and strategy. She has developed a successful digital user experience process at Discover Financial Services that supports the entire organization. Li Wen expanded user research capabilities & methodologies beyond usability to incorporate design thinking and in partnership with behavior science experts incorporating behavior economics principles into digital experiences. Through persistence and patience she was able to build an in-house UX research lab to support collaborative UX efforts. Her focus on actionable insights and flexible options has generated word-of-mouth project requests from all areas of Discover. Li Wen has a B.A. in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University and M.A. in Theater from Northwestern University.
